Thursday, December 12, 2024 (Winter and My productivity)

Most people prefer winter over summer, but that is not the case for me. I hate winter for a lots of reasons, but here I will only focus on how affects on my productivity.

During summer, I am quite active, even on very warm days. The heat doesn’t feel like a barrier to me, even on the hottest days. As a result, my productivity remains high and often increases. Additionally, summer days are long—around 15 hours—allowing me plenty of time to do a lot of tasks.

In contrast, I don’t like winter because the cold weather is a real challenge for me. My body doesn’t feel comfortable in cooler temperatures, making it harder to complete tasks efficiently. I end up taking much more time to finish work that I could easily do in less time during the summer. Additionally, daylight lasts only about 11 hours in winter, which limits the amount of work I can accomplish. I often feel quite lazy in winter and lack the motivation to be productive.

Overall, my productivity is significantly hampered by the cold weather, although I can manage to control certain key aspects.
